The team's most recent game resulted in a tight 14-13 loss to Maryland in overtime last weekend. Matteo Corsi led the Brown offense with a hat trick while Aidan McLane, Spencer Hughes and Jack Kelly each finished the game with two goals apiece. Connor Theriault played the full game in net for the Bears and made seven saves, but ultimately came up short.

The Quakers come into conference play with a record of 4-2 so far this season and their only two losses each came against ranked opponents. Most recently, the team took on cross-town foe Villanova and earned an 11-8 victory. Griffin Scane, Ben Smith and Luke DiNola each scored twice against the Wildcats to lead the team offensively. Smith added two assists to support offensive play to finish with four points on the day. Emmet Carroll played in net for Penn and made 16 saves in the win.
When Brown and Penn met last season, the Bears pulled off the win against the Quakers in a 12-11 victory at home.
